"WINGFLAPPER" takes its name from the Blackfoot and Sioux of the Great Plains and is a stunning depiction of the majestic Golden Eagle. A two sided image, the bronze is another in Doug's series featuring the art & graphics of the Haida Indians of the Pacific Northwest.

"WINGFLAPPER" was the winner of the Kinney Family Wildlife Award at the 30th Annual National Western Art Show, May 18, 2002. The Kinney award is bestowed each year for "the work best depicting wildlife". The Western National, held every May in Eastern Washington, is the second longest running
Western Fine Art Show in the United States, dated only a few years by the prestigious Charlie Russell Show in Montana.
